Clay with me Sunday

I'm half into it. Actually more than half, maybe like 3/4. The piece is getting it's first bake, after which the backing, bezel and bail, second bake (which is shorter) so I guess in about 1 1/2 hours I'll start uploading. This should be a less than 15 minutes video so it won't take that long.

Will post teaser as soon as the piece is done. It's called "the floor is lava"

Edit: to show that I can clay even when I didn't have enough coffee to fully wake up my brain. I first titled this "bake with me Sunday" >.<

4:10 pm update

The video still has about 30 minutes more to upload.

Here's the teaser

In other breaking news.

I managed to do today my DIY alcohol inks. They're a beauty. I only made 5 colors because I ran out of bottles to put them in. That is, you know those bottles with a fine tip that are used in henna tatoos? Yea, those. I am now ransacking the house to find any empty electronic cigarette e-liquid bottles. Those would work too.

Also the color-shift pigment came in the mail. I am still in the fatigued stage but I might give it a try just for one moonstone. Just to see because I am so curious. If that works I'll definitely try the labradorite too.

I really need to start writing down all my ideas for tutorials. I mean, really. So I don't lose them on the way.

Sometime next week I will do an absolutely gorgeous and fascinating cane. It's fascinating. I promise.

Also a dimensional Bargello and a optical illusion Bargello. Has your interest been piqued yet?

Ah, and I also taped how to make your own cutters. Unfortunately no final product to show because when I went ahead to superglue the ends after they cooled off from the oven I managed to spill superglue on my hands, on the counter, on the all over the place. So much for that. But you can still figure out what the whole deal is about from what I did manage to tape.

I'll post the link with the tutorial as soon as it finishes uploading.
